I’m a consultant who helps cultural organisations and their public sector partners develop strategy, build partnerships & tackle challenges.
I’m practical, resilient and collaborative, bringing 25 years experience in the cultural sector and strong connections with their funders.
About Me
At 14, performing at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe ignited my passion for the arts.
After an early career in sales and marketing, I joined the British Council, supporting creative individuals and organisations globally to connect.
In the last few years I have brought this experience to the Edinburgh International Festival, Dance Base Scotland and Creative Edinburgh and since April 2025 have been working as a specialist consultant.
I’ve shaped organisations, developed strategies, led teams through change, and fostered relationships between the public and private sectors in the UK and internationally.
Recent clients include Cumbernauld Theatre and Parents & Carers in Performing Arts.

My Approach
I’ve always been curious and am never happier than when I’m presented with a problem to solve, the more complex the better.
I’m collaborative by nature and combine this with an analytical approach to bring in the voices of staff, clients, partners and funders to help understand the challenge and to identify potential ways forward. I’ll aim to bring people quickly to a consensus but I’m confident to make clear and reasoned recommendations where there are different views.
With my track record of delivering on complex partnership projects and of leading diverse groups of people, I enjoy implementing change required in organisations to agreed timelines, working with their partners and stakeholders.
For me a job well done can only be judged long after my intervention is over. I focus on making sure that the results of my work are embedded in the organisations with relationships I have influenced passed over properly, and with leadership confident to take the work forward.
